Your guide will pick you up from your hotel for a visit to the Islamic Art Museum. Established in 1881, the museum’s collection spans over a thousand years, from the 7th-century Umayyad dynasty to the 19th-century Ottoman Empire. In 1903, the museum moved to its current location, a beautiful building designed to house its vast and diverse collection.
Next, you will be transferred to visit the Ibn Tulun Mosque, one of the oldest and most iconic mosques in Egypt. Built in the 9th century, this mosque showcases traditional Islamic architecture with its unique design and stunning carved stucco and wooden decorations. It remains a significant and popular attraction for visitors.
After lunch, you will be taken to the Abdeen Palace Museum. This 19th-century palace, built by Khedive Ismail, once served as the seat of government for Egypt from 1874 until the July Revolution in 1952. Since then, it has been one of Egypt's presidential palaces and now houses an impressive museum showcasing the country’s royal history.
Finally, you'll be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo to end your day.
