Pick-up from Hotel in Hurghada
Your driver or tour guide will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning, between 5:00 AM and 5:30 AM.
Be sure to have breakfast or bring snacks for the road, as you’ll be traveling for a few hours.
You’ll drive through the desert highway.
Arrival in Luxor
After arriving in Luxor, you’ll be taken directly to the East Bank of the Nile to start your exploration of the famous ancient sites.
Visit Karnak Temple
Karnak Temple is one of Egypt’s largest and most impressive temple complexes.
Spend about 1.5 hours exploring the temple, which is dedicated to the god Amun-Ra and is a symbol of the power of Thebes during the New Kingdom period.
Visit Luxor Temple
After exploring Karnak, head to Luxor Temple, which is located nearby.
Spend about an hour at this magnificent temple, dedicated to the god Amun-Ra. It is smaller than Karnak but equally stunning.
Lunch Break
After visiting Luxor Temple, you’ll enjoy a delicious traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant.
Visit the Valley of the Kings
After lunch, head to the West Bank of the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings.
The valley is the final resting place of many pharaohs of the New Kingdom, including Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Seti I, and Thutmose III.
Your guide will take you to 3 or 4 tombs, depending on time and availability. You’ll explore these ancient tombs and see the exquisite wall paintings and carvings that depict the pharaohs' journey to the afterlife.
Popular tombs to visit include Tutankhamun's tomb, Ramses III, and Seti I, which is known for its extraordinary detail. (if you choose to visit any of them, as it has an extra entrance fee)
Visit the Temple of Hatshepsut
From the Valley of the Kings, you’ll head to the nearby Temple of Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most unique and beautiful temples.
This impressive structure is built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari and was dedicated to the goddess Amun.
Your guide will explain the life and reign of Hatshepsut, Egypt’s most powerful female pharaoh, and the significance of the temple in her cult and funerary practices.
Stop at the Colossi of Memnon
On your way back from Hatshepsut’s temple, stop to view the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
These statues, which stand 18 meters tall, have been standing for over 3,000 years and were originally part of a larger temple complex.
Head Back to Hurghada
After an action-packed day, it’s time to begin the return journey to Hurghada.
You’ll be driven back through the desert highway, with an expected arrival time around 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM, depending on traffic and road conditions.
During the drive back, you can relax and reflect on the highlights of your day.
